Okene Township Roads under construction by Gov. Yahaya Bello

Okene Township Roads under construction by Kogi State Government. Good news as roads under construction in Okene Township gets finishing touches

Kogi State Government led by his Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello, embarked on road construction in some parts of Okene and some of its suburbs last year 2020.

We had earlier made a report on the unhealthy consequences of leaving the roads uncovered for long after the asphalt had been scraped off. As it exposed commuters and the people living within that region to health hazards.

However the commissioner of Works and Housing, Engr. Sadiq Abubakar Ohere during a meeting with our correspondence in  January 2021, explained that road construction had to undergo certain processes to get a standard solid road that will last a long time. And also assured us that the road will be attended to within a short period of time.

We are happy to announce to you that the promises made have been kept as the roads are presently under construction. We look forward to their completion.
